What can Jill do for you!
I recruit and train volunteers to provide support to those who are at the end of their life. This includes simple things like visiting residents in a nursing home. playing board games, or running errands for a family. There is no minimum time commitment. Instead you provide the support as you are able. I provide extensive training that you can do on your own or we can do it together. I also provide education to the community so I am available to speak to organizations, clubs, and churches about what hospice is and is not. A main focus is on providing support to Veteran’s. I believe that they were there for us we needed them so we need to be there for them when they need us.
More about Jill
I grew up in a military home. My father was in the Air Force for 20 years and served in two wars. I am the youngest of four and we all live In different states. I have a married daughter who lives in Colorado. I have a Master’s degree and have been working in hospice for 11 years. I serve as both the Spiritual Care Coordinator and the Volunteer Coordinator. I have always believed that a person doesn’t choose hospice but hospice chooses the person. I have both worked with and served many amazing people and cannot imagine doing anything else. For fun, I like to travel, do community theatre, and sometimes just spend quiet time at home.
